This is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or pull an official booking record. For a current answer or a copy, contact the agency that created or holds the record.
Current public sources identify Sheriff Vernon L. Jessie as the Terrell County sheriff. Confirm office details before sending a request because the older contact page retains legacy personnel information.
Where to Ask for a Record
Terrell County's official route is direct contact because no public person-level jail roster or recent-bookings feed was verified. Start with the sheriff's contact route and main line, then ask to be connected to the jail or records contact. The sheriff's home page is the agency's other official starting point. Give a full name and approximate date. A focused request for an existing booking sheet and a separate request for a booking photograph is clearer than asking for every record about a person.

Published official directories show conflicting alternate jail numbers. The sheriff's main line, 229-995-4488, is the safest first call. Confirm the destination with the office rather than treating alternate directory entries as interchangeable.
Choose the Right Office
The subject of the question determines the custodian:
- For a Terrell County booking record or photo, use the county-wide records path and request the existing jail documents from TCSO.
- For a Dawson incident or arrest report, call Dawson Police at 229-995-4414. No municipal form, exact fee, or turnaround was verified.
- For Sasser, call City Hall at 229-698-6614 or TCSO to identify which agency handled the event. No current municipal police channel was confirmed.
- For Bronwood, call City Hall at 229-995-5708 or TCSO. The county directory lists PO Box 56, Bronwood, GA 39826, but no current police records contact was verified.
- For a court outcome, contact the Superior Court Clerk or the proper municipal, probate, magistrate, or other court.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use the Georgia Department of Corrections offender search.
- For a federal prisoner or qualifying immigration detainee, use the BOP locator or ICE locator, respectively.
What a Request Should Say
Include the person's name, approximate booking or incident date, arresting agency, and any known case or booking number. Ask for an electronic copy and an estimate. If requesting a booking photo, include the truthful affirmation required by O.C.G.A. ยง 35-1-19. TCSO's $15 cash fee described in its FAQ applies to a person's own criminal-history service, not a booking sheet or photo. The office publishes no exact local photo fee.
- Name the existing jail docket or booking sheet.
- Ask for intake charges, bond entries, and maintained arrest, booking, release, or transfer times.
- Request the photograph separately, if releasable.
- Ask for the specific exemption if a record is withheld or redacted.
Georgia's general Open Records Act response framework is three business days, or a written explanation and estimate when production cannot occur then. That timing does not guarantee that every record or image will be released.
